Third largest furniture manufacturer in Slovakia improves operational effectiveness with ERP solution from IFS

IFS, the global enterprise applications company, has announced that DECODOM, a Slovak-headquartered furniture manufacturer, has decided to deploy IFS Applications™. The solution will centralize production planning and management functions from all company facilities, improve mobile stock flow management in its dispatch and logistics centres, and connect all retail operations.

DECODOM spol. s.r.o. is a traditional household furniture manufacturer with over a century’s worth of history in selling to the Slovak market. In recent times, DECODOM has expanded at home market with twenty DECODOM retail stores and internationally exports to more than twenty European countries, mainly to Germany.

DECODOM needed an ERP solution that would fully support its key business processes and replace several older applications with one fully integrated system. After a thorough evaluation, it selected IFS Applications as the most suitable choice. IFS Applications will be used by around 500 employees, which will support: production, purchase planning and management, logistics, wholesale and retail operations, financial and human resources management, as well as asset and maintenance management. This complex ERP solution will influence the processes in the whole company with 1.300 employees.

“We regularly invest in new, innovative technologies in order to increase productivity and production efficiency. However, we found out that our outgoing information system was a limiting factor for further enhancing the company's performance. In order to make our processes more effective, further reduce the costs and improve customer service, we need a comprehensive solution, which IFS Applications certainly delivers”, stated Vladimír Šrámek, Managing Director and one of the owners of DECODOM.

“Today we are announcing the implementation of one of the most comprehensive enterprise solutions in the region. We are proud that DECODOM recognized the value of our solution over competitors in the market, and our team remains committed to delivering on a successful implementation”, stated Jozef Kováčik, Manager of IFS in Slovakia. The implementation will go live in two phases: in the first half of 2018, the first phase covering production processes, with the remaining elements of the project being delivered by the end of 2018.
