Gas Natural Fenosa implements IFS Applications at Bujagali power plant, Uganda
IFS, the global enterprise applications company, today announces that Spanish Gas Natural Fenosa, through its subsidiary Operación y Mantenimiento Energy (O & M Energy), has chosen to implement IFS Applications to support business-critical processes at the newly opened Bujagali hydropower plant in Uganda.
O&M Energy has been an IFS customer since 2008, having implemented IFS Applications in its power plant facility in Madagascar. The current project involves implementation at the Ugandan Bujagali hydropower plant, a 250-megawatt power-generating facility, which aims to increase the power supply, lower energy costs, improve air quality, create more jobs, and many other substantial benefits for the local area.
The solution includes IFS Applications components for document management, sales, inventory, maintenance, and human resources.
By implementing IFS Applications, O & M Energy obtains an integrated system while consolidating the power plant data in one system. Together with the finance component, O & M Energy has now implemented a best-practice solution that is also fully integrated with their SCADA system and Mobile Client.
