  • New accreditation program offers technical, developer and consulting training
  • Courses delivered in-person or online and, in 2015, eLearning courses will launch for self-paced development

ORLANDO, US – October 6th 2014 – IFS, the global enterprise applications company, is today launching the IFS Academy—an initiative to deliver training for technicians, developers and consultants working with IFS Applications. The IFS Academy is being launched so that partners are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to ensure customers realize the most value from IFS Applications.

The IFS Academy has been structured to deliver training across the IFS Applications suite. This involves a broad set of introduction courses as well as focused training classes on all modules in IFS Applications – initially courses will be offered for the modules most frequently used by IFS customers. Internal IFS experts have developed the training content and will deliver lessons and tutorials through in-person or online training courses, and administer exams. In 2015 an additional teaching delivery method will be offered in the form of a self-paced eLearning system.

In addition to a variety of course topics, participants will be able to choose courses that are taught at varying levels:

  • Associate—providing technicians, developers and consultants with essential competence and skills
  • Specialist—providing technicians and developers with a comprehensive and detailed understanding and skills The most requested modules will also be available for consultants on Specialist level, and this catalog will grow over time.

At launch, only in-person training will be made available to companies in the IFS Partner Network. IFS will accept applications to participate in IFS Academy training from non-IFS Partner Network companies in 2015.

Anders Lif, director of the IFS Academy, commented, “The IFS Academy helps achieve a structured and quality-assured approach to the training and certification of IFS Applications technicians, developers and consultants.” He continued: “Ultimately, the IFS Academy will give our customers the confidence that they are working with the best partners, who are armed with the skills and experience that will enable them to extract the most value from their IFS deployment.“

The IFS Partner Network has been established to provide customers with the option of using IFS-accredited partners to implement and maintain IFS Applications. The IFS Academy enables partners to further demonstrate competence and credibility in implementing IFS Applications, which in time will help them differentiate themselves. As the IFS Academy launches and the catalog of courses increases, customers are encouraged to work with partners who have undergone training and are certified from the IFS Academy to implement and maintain IFS Applications.
