Sophisticated industry functionality from IFS will empower Dolphin Drilling employees both on and offshore

London, July 15, 2020 – IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that Dolphin Drilling, an international drilling contractor specializing in the mid water segment which provides services to the offshore oil and gas industry, has chosen to deploy IFS Applications™ for its organization. The new solution will be deployed across onshore sites in Norway, UK and Singapore and a fleet of 3 offshore rigs. 

Dolphin Drilling was evaluating a SAP Hana upgrade, but ultimately selected the rich industry-focused solution from IFS to reinforce their vision of “rigs for the future”. The company sought one system that could reduce offshore work through digitalization, better work flow, support global finance including intercompany and consolidation processes and improve efficiency by increasing transparency - all with the best user experience for its employees.

The IFS solution, which will support 500 users both on and offshore, will feature capabilities for business-critical processes including finance, project, maintenance, supply chain, rental management, HR & CRM. The solution will also provide industry critical tools in the form of replication, data synchronization between onshore and offshore units, site move and transport order.

For this reason, maintenance is a high priority and an important contributor to cost savings and smoother operations. The maintenance solution from IFS, combined with the IFS IoT Business Connector, will allow Dolphin Drilling to capture and analyze data transmitted by sensors on their rigs. Finally, the customizable user interface with IFS Lobbies will provide all users with the readily accessible insights they need to do their jobs.
