Jonas Persson appointed as IFS’s new Chairman of the Board
IFS, the global enterprise applications company, today announced that Dr. Jonas Persson has been appointed as Chairman of the Board, effective immediately. His predecessor, Lars Wollung, will remain a Board Director.
Dr. Persson has been a member of IFS’s Board of Directors since March 2016. His direction and counsel has helped IFS achieve net revenue growth (currency adjusted) of 9% in 2016 and 15% in 2017.
Commenting on his appointment, Dr. Persson said, “IFS is a recognized leader in field service management, enterprise asset management and, of course, enterprise resource planning. With the support of the company’s owners, EQT, we are committed to ensuring that IFS extends its leadership position and continues on this journey of long-term growth.”
Dr. Persson holds directorships and advisory positions in several other software companies. Previously the CEO of Microsoft Sweden, he currently serves as the as Chairman of the Board of Sitecore, Stormgeo and Peltarion. Persson also has a Board Director position at TIA Technology. In addition, Persson serves as an Independent Director of Livförsäkringsbolaget Skandia. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Uppsala University, Sweden.
