Space company GomSpace selects IFS Applications 9 to support rapid growth
ERP solution from IFS provides GomSpace with a cross-disciplinary business engine to manage and optimize key projects and processes
IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that the fast-growing space company GomSpace has selected IFS Applications™ 9 to realize its ambitious growth targets. IT consultancy Curit, part of the IFS Partner Network, is responsible for selling and implementing the solution.
GomSpace is a world-leader in the development and production of nanosatellites. In the past few years the company has obtained a significant role in the commercialization of nanosatellites worldwide. NASA and ESA are, among others, on GomSpace’s list of customers. Following the listing in 2016 on the Nasdaq First North Premier exchange under the ticker GOMX, and the resulting capital injection, the company is now prepared for even faster growth.
“Our sales in nanosatellites has increased by 73 per cent during the last quarter, and business processes are becoming increasingly complex,” Niels Buus, CEO of GomSpace, said. “Therefore, we need a cross-disciplinary business solution to provide us with an overview of all processes in any project at any time. The user-friendliness of IFS Applications 9 and IFS Lobby enables us to effectively manage time, resources, materials, and costs. In addition, the solution meets the high demands of our industry in terms of production, security, and compliance.”
The rapid scalability of the solution and IFS’s deep industry experience were the decisive factors for choosing IFS and its business partner Curit. The IFS solution will support mission-critical processes such as product development, project-based production, supply chain management, HR, and finance.
Niels Buus added, “IFS Applications 9 is a flexible solution that quickly scales to changing business needs without requiring adaptations. In addition, IFS and Curit have a long and successful track record in aerospace and defense as well as in manufacturing. They were able to guarantee us a first-phase implementation in just four months, and they kept their promise.”
Glenn Arnesen, CEO of IFS in Scandinavia, said, “We are very pleased that GomSpace has chosen IFS Applications 9. Leveraging the combined experience of IFS and Curit, we deliver a highly effective ERP solution that is tailored to support complex, project-based manufacturing processes. GomSpace is an excellent example of how we support companies with the features they need to streamline their organization and processes, document and verify compliance, and ensure rapid growth.”
