Transducer and weather sensing leader Airmar selects IFS Applications for project manufacturing
Airmar streamlines product lifecycle from engineering to aftermarket service
IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that U.S. based Airmar Technology Corporation has selected IFS Applications™ as its new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system of record.
Milford NH based AIRMAR, is a world leading developer and manufacturer of SONAR transducers for fishfinders and instruments. Through organic growth and recent acquisition, AIRMAR has expanded their portfolio to deliver high-tech net monitoring and catch control, current profilers, weather stations and ultrasonic sensors to a broad range of customers.
Airmar will implement IFS Applications to deliver a broad spectrum of enterprise benefits, including enhanced forecasting and scheduling, traceability and management of supplier part quality and enterprise asset management (EAM) capabilities to manage the maintenance of production equipment. The new system of record will enhance post-sale service capabilities to Airmar’s customers by enabling efficient delivery of field service as well as return-and-repair services. IFS Applications will also support the ability to provide service contracts to Airmar’s customers.
“We currently use a variety of solutions to manage our business, and by consolidating these into IFS Applications, we expect easy access to actionable data through things like the IFS Lobbies configurable role-based dashboards,” Airmar President and COO Matt Boucher said. “Ultimately, our goal is to implement IFS Enterprise Operational Intelligence to achieve a real-time view of the entire business value chain so we can make decisions to further our growth and ensure those decisions are acted on across the organization.”
IFS vice president of sales in North America, Katherine James, added, “With its diversified business model and unique blend of make to stock and custom manufacturing, Airmar has selected IFS Applications to handle its business and technology requirements. Our goal will be to help Airmar realize efficiencies from new product engineering to procurement and production scheduling to quality management to efficiently deliver on aftermarket service contracts. With our advanced technology and capabilities, Airmar will be able to focus on its growth objectives for many years to come.”
