Wood industry leader Derome enhances customer experience with IFS Applications

IFS to empower 1,700 Derome staff at 50+ sites to increase overall efficiency and to make life easier for its customers

IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that Derome, one of Sweden’s largest wood companies, has chosen IFS Applications™ 10 as its new business platform. The main objective is to increase efficiency across the group by tying together internal processes including finance, sales, manufacturing, logistics, and customer services.

Established in 1946, the Derome Group’s operations span the entire forest and wood industry, including five sawmills, construction and iron trade, house manufacturing, production of truss, pellets, packaging, building components, land development and property management.

To increase operational efficiency and simplify the ordering process, Derome has embarked on a project to establish a new internal business platform. Following a comprehensive evaluation process, the company chose IFS Applications 10, which will be rolled out to 1,700 users across more than 50 sites.

With IFS Applications 10, Derome will integrate internal processes including finance, sales, manufacturing, logistics and customer service on a single, easy-to-use platform. As a result, Derome’s customers will enjoy a seamless and simplified experience with full transparency into the entire ordering process. The solution will make it easier for customers to place, amend and trace their orders as well as enable on-demand communication with Derome customer service agents.
