Betting.bet, the online betting platform that lists hundreds of bookmaker offers, has reported a spike in the number of its bettors placing Super Bowl predictions.

According to the brand, over 30% of British bettors staked a prediction on the Philadelphia Eagles vs Kansas City Chiefs matchup in February. When compared to Super Bowl betting reports from 2022, betting.bet claims it has seen a 45% rise in activity, which, according to the brand, "illustrates the ever-growing thirst for American sports betting markets in the UK".

When drilling down into its player behaviours and data, betting.bet uncovered a diverse range of bet types placed. While Outright winner bets made up the most significant proportion of bets placed on the Super Bowl, betting.bet noted an interest in unique "prop bets", aka, niche selections. These are fun bet types that cover anything from when the national anthem will be played to the weather on the day of the event and so on.

With much hype around Rhiana's halftime performance, it came as no surprise that the Bajan singer was the focus of many wagers. From predicting songs she would perform to who she would bring on stage and even the colour of her clothes, Rhianna bets seemed to pique the interest of UK bettors this year.

Declan Tighe of the online betting portal, comments:

"There is a reason the Super Bowl is referred to as The Greatest Show on Earth! With such an array of betting markets and such an explosive high-production event, it is understandable that Brits enjoy watching and placing bets on high-profile NFL games. Here at betting.bet we are proud to be supporting NFL bettors here in the UK, ensuring our NFL betting community is aware of the best betting sites and offers to tap into."
