The 2024 race at Gosforth Park is expected to be one for the racing history books. With a new sponsor, both sports and betting fans will be eager to see how the National Hunt steeplechase concludes.

With great joy, we can now confirm that we at betting.bet will be the “Principal Racing Partner” of the Eider Chase, and the Eider Chase Day!

As a trial for the iconic Grand National, the race witnesses some of the country's finest horses and jockeys in action. Several Eider Chase contenders go on to run in the Grand National in April, as well as many other premier handicaps.

Back in 2008, David Pipe-trained Comply Or Die famously crossed the line first in the Eider Chase and then in the Grand National. This highlights how the Eider Chase is a powerful indicator of the "ones to watch" at Aintree.

The Eider Chase makes for an ideal Grand National trial due to the arduous conditions. Run over four miles with 24 fences; the race offers various challenges. Plus, the unpredictable weather in the North East only intensifies the challenges of the course.

Here at betting.bet, we are delighted to be working with the team at Newcastle Racecourse and play a part in the 2024 renewal of this fabulous race day.

"We are thoroughly looking forward to the Eider Chase Day and hope to work with the team at Newcastle Racecourse for many more events in the coming years. Giving back to the horse racing industry and community is a central part of our company ethos, with racing sponsorships being just one example of this. At betting.bet, we will be profiling the very best bookmakers and promotions for our users and the racegoers at Newcastle on Saturday" comments our Director.

Executive Director of Newcastle Racecourse, Paul Elliott, said:

“The betting.bet Eider Chase is a major day for the Racecourse and we are really pleased to welcome betting.bet as the new headline partners for the day.”
