Broadway Platform: Why Smart Operators are Making Supplier Compliance their First Due Diligence Question

Giorgi Samkharadze, Director of Broadway Platform, shares how the company’s Curaçao licence is helping enhance their regulatory credibility and drive operator partnership growth

Broadway Platform has just received a B2B supplier licence from the Cura?ao Gaming Authority (CGA). What does this mean in practical terms for your operator partners?

The CGA licence formally authorises us to provide our technology solutions to licensed operators across many international markets. It means that any operator who partners with us can point to fully certified infrastructure, from our casino and sportsbook core, through to payments, CRM, risk management, affiliate tooling and our BroadHub content aggregation platform. The last point is particularly significant: BroadHub is fully certified, giving operators access to thousands of premium slots, table games and live dealer titles from more than 120 providers through a single, compliant gateway. The licence removes a layer of due diligence burden from our partners and gives their own compliance teams, and ultimately their customers, the confidence that the platform powering their product meets the recognised regulatory standards.

Why was obtaining this specific certification a priority for Broadway Platform?

Compliance expectations are rising rapidly across all the regions we work in, and we have seen this pattern continue as markets in LatAm and Africa regulate. Operators expect high standards from the suppliers they work with, scrutinising partners alongside their own licences. We are also seeing regulators move towards greater consistency and data-driven oversight, which ultimately rewards those who place customers first and maintain strong compliance infrastructure and player protection systems. Having the CGA licence in place means we can accelerate those conversations. Our clients can move straight to the commercial and technical onboarding. The licence is an enabler for speed to market – one of our core value propositions.

There is a growing narrative that compliance is becoming a competitive advantage. Do you agree?

Absolutely, and we have seen this shift accelerating. A few years ago, many operators treated compliance more like a tick-box exercise – something to be managed separately by their legal departments. That is no longer the case. Regulatory scrutiny continues to intensify globally, and operators who partner with non-compliant suppliers expose themselves to real risk. On the other side of the equation, operators who demonstrate that their entire tech stack is certified have a genuine differentiator. For us, that dynamic means our compliance standing is a commercial asset, not a background cost. The key is integrating compliance into product and marketing decisions from the outset rather than treating it as an afterthought. When customer protection and data integrity are embedded into the overall growth strategy, every market expansion becomes more sustainable and every campaign remains responsible.

Broadway Platform has stated ambitions for LatAm and African growth. How do compliance credentials translate into traction in these markets specifically?

We’re at a real turning point across both regions. Latin America has seen a wave of regulation over the past two years, with Brazil the most prominent opening. We are now seeing regulators in Colombia, Peru and elsewhere raise the bar for what is expected from licensed operators and their suppliers. Africa is at an earlier stage in many markets, but the trajectory is the same.

In practice, what we find is that having the CGA certification opens more doors in conversations with local regulators and operators who might otherwise be cautious about engaging with a technology supplier they cannot immediately verify. Success in any new jurisdiction also requires building strong local partnerships, investing in localisation and ensuring alignment with the spirit of each market's rules. Entering a new jurisdiction is is about understanding customer expectations and building sustainable relationships from day one.

For operators who are currently evaluating potential platform providers, what would be your message?

The era of choosing a platform on price and speed alone is over. They remain important factors, but the question operators should be asking is: what happens when a regulator asks me to account for every component of my technology stack? If the answer involves scrambling to produce certification documents from suppliers who have not kept up with regulatory developments, that could be a real vulnerability.

Broadway Platform offers a fully certified, AI-powered infrastructure that is built for operators who want to grow fast and stay compliant in parallel. Compliance, growth and customer satisfaction are all part of the same equation. A safe, transparent experience builds trust, and trust builds retention. We think that combination of speed to market and regulatory credibility is the competitive edge that will matter most in growing markets.
