1. Aleksandar, take us back to the beginning—what inspired you to launch GoldenBet, and what was your original vision for the platform?
After years in the iGaming industry, I saw a clear gap for a platform that truly put players first—fast payouts, clean UX, real support. Goldenbet was built to fix what most operators were getting wrong. The vision was simple: create a trustworthy, modern platform that focuses on what actually matters to the user.
2. Where did you first launch GoldenBet, and what factors influenced that decision? Was there a specific market opportunity or player demand that stood out to you?
We started in regions where we had a strong understanding of player needs and habits. The goal was to bring a fresh, dependable experience to players who were used to clunky platforms or slow service. Having already been involved in several iGaming ventures, I saw clearly where the gaps were—and we built Goldenbet to address them from day one.
3. Before GoldenBet, what was your professional background? Can you share more about your journey into the iGaming world and how it shaped your approach as a founder?
I started my career in business roles across several industries, gradually moving toward the tech and iGaming space as it began to grow. Being from Serbia, I had the chance to work in fast-changing environments, which taught me how to adapt and find practical solutions. When I relocated to Cyprus later on, I was already deeply involved in the industry—and that move helped me connect with more international teams and expand my perspective. All of that shaped how I approach building and scaling a brand like Goldenbet.
4. What were some of the most significant challenges you faced early on in launching GoldenBet, and how did you navigate them?
The biggest challenge was standing out in such a competitive space. Players have plenty of options, so earning their trust from the start was key. We focused on building a platform that delivered on its promises, stayed reliable, and felt easy to use. That consistency helped us gain traction early on.
5. GoldenBet was built to reinvent the online gambling experience. In practical terms, how are you delivering on that mission today—and what does ‘reinvention’ mean to you personally?
To me, reinvention means stripping things down to what really matters and doing it better. We’re not trying to overwhelm users with gimmicks—we focus on clarity, reliability, and experience. That means always improving, listening to feedback, and staying flexible as the industry evolves. Reinvention isn’t about chasing trends; it’s about staying relevant in a meaningful way
6. The iGaming space is incredibly competitive. From your perspective, what makes GoldenBet truly different—and how do you keep the brand ahead of the curve?
What makes Goldenbet stand out is the fact that it was built with a full-circle understanding of the industry. Before launching it, I worked as a co-founder, board member, investor, and advisor across several iGaming businesses. One experience that really shaped my approach was my time as a co-founder at SpinCore Entertainment—there, I learned how to scale a product quickly while keeping the user experience front and center. Lessons like that carried over directly into how we built and now grow Goldenbet.
7. Your platform puts a strong emphasis on localised content, secure payments, multi-currency support, and 24/7 service. How do these elements enhance player satisfaction and retention across diverse regions?
Understanding the needs of different markets has always been a priority for us. That mindset comes from my background—I studied Business Management at the University of Niš, where I was first introduced to global business dynamics. Today, that foundation helps guide our approach to localization and service. When players feel like a platform speaks their language—literally and culturally—they’re more likely to trust it and stick with it.
8. Responsible gambling is a key priority for the industry. What systems and safeguards does GoldenBet have in place to ensure a safe, secure and sustainable environment for all players?
Responsible gambling has to be part of the culture, not just a policy. At Goldenbet, we approach it by being proactive—through transparency, education, and ongoing communication with our players. We aim to build long-term trust, and that starts with making sure people feel safe, informed, and respected at every stage of their journey with us
9. Security and fair play are clearly non-negotiables at GoldenBet. How do you ensure these core principles are upheld while still offering a fun, engaging and seamless gaming experience?
At GoldenBet, security and fairness are at the heart of everything we do. We’ve built a platform with industry-leading technology to ensure everything is secure, transparent, and reliable. We focus on offering an experience where players can enjoy themselves without worrying about the integrity of the game or their personal data. Balancing these priorities means constantly innovating while holding ourselves to the highest standards in both technology and customer service.
10. Innovation is central to staying relevant. Are there any new technologies, platform features, or gaming verticals you’re particularly excited about rolling out in the months ahead?
Innovation is key to staying competitive, and we're always looking at new technologies to enhance the experience. One area I’m excited about is expanding our use of AI to improve personalization for our players. We’re also exploring new gaming verticals to ensure we can offer fresh experiences that keep people engaged. The goal is always to create a dynamic platform that evolves with the players’ needs and the industry’s pace.
11. Looking back at your entrepreneurial journey, what achievement are you most proud of—and what advice would you offer to other founders looking to build something meaningful in iGaming?
Looking back, I’m most proud of building a company that truly resonates with customers and provides a great experience. My father, a Serbian businessman who was deeply involved in the privatization efforts of the 1990s, taught me the importance of resilience, strategic decision-making, and navigating complex business landscapes. These lessons have shaped my approach to leadership and entrepreneurship. My advice to other founders is: stay focused on your vision, face the challenges head-on, and always prioritize delivering the best experience for your customers.
