Surge in Super Bowl Free Bets
With the Super Bowl less than a week away, the UK betting community is actively seeking promotions to place their wagers. This is according to freebets.ltd.uk, the UK's central source for online free bets and promotions.
Reviewing player activity from the previous three weeks, Free Bets has identified a spike in the number of players seeking out NFL free betting promotions ahead of the Super Bowl this weekend, with bookmakers ramping up their new and existing player deals ahead of Kansas City Chiefs v Philadelphia Eagles.
Matt McGinty, a Sports Reporter for the online aggregator, comments:
Each year, we are seeing more UK bettors explore US sports betting markets. Being untapped territory for many, we at freebets.ltd.uk go to great lengths to educate our users on US sports betting. With NFL betting markets on the rise, we expected to see an enhanced appetite for Super Bowl information and betting offers this year. But, the activity we have seen on the site has far surpassed this. Compared to figures last year, we are seeing nearly double the number of our bettors taking an interest in Super Bowl LVII markets and promotions, particularly free bets."
It is expected that over £1BN will be spent on Super Bowl bets this year, with everyone from professional gamblers to newbies and celebrities taking a punt. Just yesterday, Canadian rapper, Drake, revealed that he had placed $965k on Super Bowl bets, most of which came on the Chiefs to win the game. Drake bet $700,000 on the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl before participating in some 'smaller' prop bets.
The rapper bet $50,000 each on Patrick Mahomes and Juju Smith-Schuster scoring the first Chiefs touchdown, as well as $50,000 on the Chiefs winning both halves.
He also bet $30k on the Chiefs winning each quarter, as well as $25k on Travis Kelce being named Super Bowl MVP and $60k on the award going to a tight end.
