Strategic acquisition in Denmark
Infratek, with the business area Security, has acquired 51 percent of the shares in the Danish security company Plahn Systems AS. The agreement also includes an option to buy the remaining shares in the company.
Plahn Systems is the market leader in anti-theft systems in Denmark, and also provides services within high security systems. The acquisition is strategically important as it establishes Infratek in Denmark. The agreement is in line with the company’s Nordic strategy and will also provide growth opportunities for Infratek within other service segments.
Infratek Security has several Nordic customers with branches in Denmark, and an existing partnership agreement with Plahn Systems has already given very good results.
Through this acquisition Infratek strengthens its leading position in the Scandinavian retail market, and establishes a good base for growth within high security systems. The expertise and customer structure of Plahn Systems is attractive, with opportunities for further growth. Infratek already holds key agencies in Denmark.
With the acquisition the business area Security capitalizes further on Nordic group services and investments. The Danish market is fragmented, which provides opportunities to take a leading position within security services in the years to come.
Plahn Systems was founded in 2001 by Bjarne Plahn and Christian Larsen. They will be a part of Infrateks further growth in Denmark. The company has 15 employees. Estimated revenue for 2012 is approximately DKK 30 million, with a profit of over DKK 3 million. The company is headquartered in Fredriksværk, Denmark.
