Inwido reinforces its governance structure for increased value creation

Inwido, Europe’s largest supplier of windows, is developing its governance model by transitioning to a structure in which the individual companies within the Group are assigned full responsibility for their business and profitability. Accordingly, the business area structure that has applied to date will be replaced by 30 subsidiaries operating through customer-focused business and brand strategies and tight-knit local supply chains. Group management will also reflect the new structure. The change is planned to be fully implemented by 1 January 2019.

“The purpose of this change is, above all, to achieve even greater customer and profit focus in all parts of the organization,” says Håkan Jeppsson, President and CEO of Inwido. “We are seeing that digitalization leads to altered customer and consumer behaviours, new and additional players and increased demands on speed and flexibility. To embrace this, we must position ourselves closer to our customers. We are now creating further improved conditions for our companies to achieve this.”

This change means that Inwido AB will act more as a parent company, with the new vision: “Inwido will lead and develop the strongest companies in comfort, climate and safety to create a better indoor life for people, inspire employees and generate value for shareholders.”

Inwido is built up of more than 50 companies acquired over the past 15 years. The strategy to continue growing by acquiring strong individual and profitable companies will remain. Investments in e-commerce and digitalization to streamline all processes represent one of the most important focus areas.

Since Mikael Carleson, Senior Vice President of the EBE business area and Johan Berg, Senior Vice President of the Finland Business Area, have chosen to leave Inwido for assignments outside the company, Group Management will henceforth consist of seven people. Asger Drewes Jörgensen, Business Area Manager for Denmark will also assume responsibility for EBE, while Håkan Jeppsson will take on the corresponding role for Finland effective from 1 October

“I would like to thank Johan and Michael for their efforts for Inwido during the time they have been here, and I wish them good luck in their new assignments,” says Håkan Jeppsson.
