Inwido’s President and CEO, Håkan Jeppsson, comments the first half of 2017:

“Inwido’s strong sales trend continues. In the second quarter, sales rose by 14 percent and, in the first half of the year, they rose by 21 percent to slightly more than SEK 3 billion (SEK 3,038 million).”

“Order bookings rose by 10 percent in the second quarter and the order backlog was 20 percent higher than at the same time in the preceding year.”

“However, earnings for the second quarter were lower than we expected. Following 11 consecutive record quarters, operating profit ended up at SEK 193 million (208), entailing an operating margin of 11.5 percent (14.2) for the quarter and 9.1 percent (9.7) for the first half of the year.”

“Earnings have been adversely affected by production disruptions, primarily in Sweden and the UK, caused primarily by delays in deliveries of raw materials, various temporary problems in parts of the sales organization in Finland, and the fact that Easter fell in the second quarter this year. Increased sales within construction also had a negative mix effect in both Sweden and Finland.”

“Overall, we have a good half year behind us. Combined with stable demand for our products and a positive consumer confidence index in most of our markets, we look ahead to the rest of 2017 with confidence.”
