Basildon, November 1, 2016

Iveco Bus is using the occasion of Euro Bus Expo 2016 to highlight its expanding presence in the UK market, combined with this year’s launch of a full range of New Daily minibus models at Euro VI. The new range offers impressive levels of comfort and drivability, as well as guaranteeing efficiency and top performance.

Key to the appeal of the New Daily Euro VI minibus range is the availability of an impressive eight-speed Hi-Matic automatic transmission – the best in class in its category in every mission, from inner-city to long distance – providing absolute driving pleasure and enhanced safety while driving comfortably.

The 19-seat mini-coach Daily TourysPlus model benefits from a comprehensive specification, including the Hi-Matic gearbox, rear air suspension and driver and passenger air conditioning, as well as reclining Kiel Turistic seats with three-point seatbelts, for travelling in comfort and style. It also offers new standard features such as floor-level LED lighting and an optional host/hostess seat.

Furthermore, the easy-to-access lowered luggage compartment at the rear of the vehicle offers a maximum storage capacity of 2.5m³, for easy loading and unloading of passenger luggage. Plus, the driver benefits from car-like ergonomics and comfort thanks to the redesigned driver’s area. The new driver’s seat is 15 mm lower, while the steering wheel is 20 mm smaller and 7° more vertical, improving comfort and handling.

A Daily TourysPlus is on display outside the exhibition hall.

In addition to the outside exhibit, the Iveco Bus stand (J30) features a New Daily chassis-cowl, which offers maximum bodybuilding flexibility.

Complete range
The full range of Iveco minibus models at Euro VI offers solutions for a wide variety of passenger transport missions: from tourist buses equipped for travelling in maximum comfort and style, to intercity vehicles with a category-leading passenger capacity and school buses specifically designed for student transport.

Like other models in the Daily family, the New Daily chassis cowl and minibus range is available with a choice of Euro VI heavy duty diesel engines or a natural power engine running on compressed natural gas or compressed biomethane. There is even an eco-friendly electric-traction engine with zero emissions, to highlight Iveco’s position as the perfect partner for sustainable transport.

Iveco Bus sold 2,310 Daily minibuses across Europe in 2015, achieving a 12% overall market share. It predicts strong potential for further growth, particularly within the UK minibus sector.
