Iveco dealers Northern Commercials (Mirfield) Ltd and Stormont Truck & Van Ltd, both wholly owned subsidiaries of Clipper Group Holdings, are coming together to form a single legal entity.

Northern Commercials has acquired the trade and assets of Stormont Truck & Van, with Stormont’s network of four dealerships to be re-branded as Northern Commercials sites.

The change of name makes Northern Commercials one of the largest Iveco dealers in the UK, with the former Stormont dealerships in Brighton, Dunstable, Northampton and Tonbridge joining with its existing network in Brighouse and Manchester.

At the same time Northern Commercials is taking the opportunity to centralise its accounting process, with all customer accounts being managed from its head office and flagship dealer site in Brighouse.

Roger Peel, Group Managing Director of Northern Commercials, explains: “Ever since our parent company purchased Stormont Truck & Van five years ago, our businesses have operated closely alongside each other. Naturally, it made strategic sense to integrate the two companies and to go to market as a single brand.”
