IVU AG publishes Annual Report 2013
Revenues up 4 % to € 46.3 million, Gross profits up 9 % to € 34.8 million, EBIT increased by 14 % to € 3.9 million
IVU Traffic Technologies AG has continued its course of sound growth in 2013 and has ended the financial year with excellent results. With revenues up 4 % to € 46.3 million and a 9 % increase in gross profits to € 34.8 million, the targets for the year were exceeded. This is also reflected in the earnings situation. EBIT increased by 14 % to € 3.9 million and earnings before taxes were up by 18 % to € 3.6 million.
The strategy of the software manufacturer is proving successful. For some years now, the product development has pursued the goal of coupling a high level of standardisation with maximum performance. This means that IVU products only require a few specific changes in order to adapt them to the needs of very different customers in the public transport sector. As a result it has increasingly been possible to shorten project completion times, and numerous projects could be implemented and concluded at short notice. In 2013, successful projects in Budapest, London, and Utrecht have attracted considerable media attention.
In the inter-city coach market, IVU has also won orders due to its short implementation times. ADAC Postbus entered the market in 2013 as a provider of coach services linking 24 cities in Germany. The IT systems for the operations of the new inter-city services were provided by IVU. Components from the IVU.suite were supplied for planning and control centre operations, as well as for online booking and passenger information services. Within five months, all the systems were installed and new developments such as IVU.ticket.shop were implemented.
IVU also made important developments in 2013 in the field of passenger information services, so that its market position has been further enhanced. A new online interface especially for the exchange of dynamic data with clients with only limited resources has met a real need in the market. The Unified Realtime API (URA) is intended to be a future open standard for data transfer for all public transport companies. It has already been implemented successfully in London, Leverkusen, Mantua and now also in Aachen.
“The on-going development of our products and the increasingly short project durations we can offer are clearly proving successful”, comments Martin Müller-Elschner, CEO of IVU Traffic Technologies AG, on the publication of the Annual Report today. “Nationally and internationally, IVU is in demand as a potential partner. We look positively towards the future and for the coming years we expect business to continue to develop well and to grow soundly.”

Other systems support the choice of branch locations or ensure that election results are determined correctly.
