Tools for web based location planning and workforce management

Berlin, 10 September 2014 – At the Intergeo 2014 conference trade fair, IVU Traffic Technologies AG will be presenting its products in the field of location intelligence. One highlight is the web-based geo-information system IVU.locate for the strategic planning and optimisation of locations. With IVU.workforce, the Berlin software company also offers a solution for the optimised journey planning and assignment administration for field workers. Intergeo, which is the largest trade fair in the field of geo-information, will be taking place in Berlin from 7th to 9th October. IVU AG can be visited at Stand C3.014 in Hall 3.1.

At Intergeo, IVU Traffic Technologies AG is demonstrating the capabilities of its systems with special deployment scenarios. Visitors will be able to see for themselves how IVU.locate carries out a quick location check and plans outlet locations or allocates catchment areas. At the IVU stand it will also be possible to see how IVU.workforce can be used to allocate a wide range of tasks to field personnel and sub-contractors, and to manage the assignments completely via mobile devices.

Planning and optimising locations with IVU.locate
IVU.locate is the location intelligence system from IVU Traffic Technologies AG. It can be applied in a wide range of sectors such as retailing, courier, express and parcel delivery services, health care, or geo-government. The GIS-solution can provide support for all location-related matters from location marketing and analysis through expansion planning to logistics. In order to provide dependable results, the geo-information system analyses large quantities of external market data, in combination with the customer’s internal data. On the basis of this aggregated information it is then possible to develop targeted measures. IVU.locate is technology-independent and can operate in a wide range of system environments.

Administering assignments with IVU.workforce
IVU.workforce helps maintenance companies, service providers, electricity utilities and network operators to significantly reduce the efforts involved in the administration of fieldwork assignments, from preparation through to completion. Standardised procedures simplify the planning and the transfer of information between dispatchers and field personnel. Via the integrated interface, IVU.workforce can be connected directly to SAP databases and other ERP systems. An offline capable mobile application with integrated routing makes it easier for fieldworkers to register assignment data and compare this with the central system. In this way, IVU.workforce contributes to the efficient planning and deployment for the successful completion of assignments.
