Jetshop launches a completely new opportunity for e-business

Today Jetshop is launching its new Spotstore service - dynamic retargeting with sales that start directly in the banner.

"Making it possible for consumers to start shopping directly in the advertising banner on a website other than the selling company's own site is a major development for e-business," says Christian Zanders, CEO for the Nordic region's leading provider of e-business systems and services.

In simple terms, dynamic retargeting refers to technology that enables an e-business to analyse a visitor's online behaviour. Based on that behaviour, advertisements can then be created on other websites visited by the potential customer. In that way the chances of making a sale are increased. Jetshop's service for dynamic retargeting is based on Releware, a unique algorithm that calculates the relationships between the consumer's online behaviour and other consumers' purchasing behaviours. With Spotstore it is now possible for a consumer to start making purchases simply by clicking on the banner, after which the transaction can be securely completed on the selling company's own checkout page.

"Spotstore makes it possible for our customers to create targeted advertising and sales on other sites visited by the consumer. This type of store-in-store selling will increase rapidly in the future. In traditional retail environments a lot of work is done with cross-selling. Spotstore is a modern form of cross-selling for the e-business world."

Online advertising has grown to become the largest channel for advertising in Sweden. During 2012 it accounted for no less than 24 per cent of the total advertising carried out in the country. Consequently Jetshop is also growing rapidly within the area of services for online advertising. The company is already a leading provider of services for dynamic retargeting to some of Sweden's largest sites.

"The costs associated with reaching the right consumers with the right message are growing all the time. Our ambition is to provide flexible and adaptable tools that increase our customers' sales through cost-effective and relevant advertising," says Christian Zanders.

Spotstore will be tested during the spring, after which it will be connected to the advertising networks that have relevant publishers for Jetshop's advertisers.
