He is one of Sweden's most popular TV profiles among kids and young adults, perhaps most well known from the children's show Sommarlov. Alex Hermansson also starred on the hit YouTube series Rackartygarna for more than ten years. Today, JumpYard is proud to announce a collaboration with Alex to bring the joy of movement to children and their families.

Alex, also known as "RackarAlex" has been an active athlete, acrobat and gymnast since childhood. Since he became one of Sweden's biggest role models for children and families, he has nurtured a desire to use his influence in a responsible way.

Children's screen time a growing problem

According to the Public Health Authority (sv. Folkhälsomyndigheten), children between the ages of 5 and 17 must engage in pulse-raising exercise for at least one hour a day. But only two out of ten children achieve this quota.

- Children and young people would move much more if we helped them explore new activities and hobbies. That's why JumpYard has always had a special place in my heart, says Alex Hermansson.

Influencing adults through their children

Through the collaboration, JumpYard wants to highlight the importance of adults giving children access to movement on their own terms. Traditional sports may not be an option, especially for children who experience performance anxiety from being part of a team.

- This collaboration is a dream come true. For the longest time we have debated how to reach young adults who are inactive for 75 percent of their waking hours. Together with Alex, we will demonstrate how fun it is to move, and how easy it is to get moving if you are having fun, says Therese Reuterswärd, Chief Marketing Officer at JumpYard.

Alex Hermansson becomes JumpYard's ambassador starting in September.
