More award success for Stockport’s Valour Finance Group

Award-winning fintech firm Valour Finance Group has triumphed at the Stockport Business Awards.

The firm, which earlier this year won a prestigious industry gong at the Credit Today Awards, took home the prize for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility, at the event held at Stockport Town Hall.

Mark Bowker, CEO of Valour Finance Group, said: “As a Stockport-based business we are incredibly honoured the charity work we carry out in our local community has been recognised by our peers.

“The entire team work tirelessly to support the wider community through a series of fundraising events throughout the year, and I could not be prouder of everything they have achieved.”

From weekly ‘Dress Down Fridays’ to the annual Three Peaks Challenge, the firm has a rich programme of events to help swell the coffers of local charities.

Plus, every member of the Valour team is offered 16 hours’ paid leave to volunteer for their favourite charity or work with the local community.

What’s more, earlier this year Valour bought a 16-seater minibus which schools and community groups in the Stockport area can hire free-of-charge.

Mark added: “We are committed to making a real practical difference in our community and I am delighted the team has been recognised for all their achievements.”

The Stockport Business Awards took place at Stockport Town Hall on Thursday October 12, 2016. Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility was one of 12 awards up for grabs.
