K2A’s Johan Knaust nominated for Sustainable Leadership award
Johan Knaust, CEO of K2A Knaust & Andersson Fastigheter, has been nominated for a Sustainable Leadership award, which is presented by NMC The Swedish Association for Sustainable Business.

K2A – the green real estate company – constructs and manages Nordic Swan Ecolabelled rental apartments in timber. The company was founded in 2013 and its business concept that encompasses sustainable residential construction with low climate footprint has laid the foundation for rapid growth. Today, the company manages more than 4,000 rental apartments. Its target is to have at least 10,000 managed apartments by 2025.
The company became first in the world to have its shares classified as green and has the real estate sector’s most ambitious climate target. The company’s entire value chain to be climate positive by 2027.
NMC The Swedish Association for Sustainable Business has given its Sustainable Leadership award since 1999 to a business leader who through competent leadership has promoted successful sustainability work in their organisation or in society as a whole. The award aims to highlight the fact that clear and committed leadership is a key factor for a sustainable business community.
Other nominees for the award are Anna Elgh, CEO of Svenska Retursystem and Thomas Östlund, CEO of PROTOS. The winner will be announced on September 7th.
