Kamux to keep expanding and open a car showroom in the upcoming extension of Lempäälä's Ideapark
Kamux, a company specialising in used car sales, will open its second-largest Finnish car showroom in the new extension of Lempäälä's Ideapark.
To be opened next summer
The largest full-service used car centre in the Nordic countries, a 1.5-hectare extension to the Ideapark Shopping Centre, will be opened in Lempäälä next summer.
"Ideapark is a unique shopping centre concept in Finland, and the upcoming used car centre is an excellent match to Kamux's plans to grow and expand its showroom network in Finland. We want to be where our customers are in order to serve Finns as well as possible in car sales. The decision to open a showroom at Ideapark was easy to make," says Jussi Mäkinen, Finnish Country Director of Kamux.
Second-largest Kamux showroom in Finland
"The Kamux showroom will be about 3,000 square metres in size, making it our second-largest in Finland. This means having 7-10 salespersons. The showroom has room for about 150 cars but, in line with the Kamux concept, our entire selection of about 3,000 cars is within the reach of customers, regardless of where or how they choose to do car business," Country Director Mäkinen continues.
Expanding showroom network
The showroom in the Lempäälä shopping centre will strengthen Kamux's foothold in the Tampere region and further extend the company's Finnish showroom network. At the moment, Kamux already has showrooms in Tampere in the areas of Hatanpää and Lielahti.
Something good for customers year-round
With the extension, Ideapark's total area will increase to 115,000 square metres. The extension project is globally unique in the world of shopping centres. Finland's largest shopping centre is two times the size of the local Ratina Stadium. The number of visitors, currently over 7 million per year, is expected to grow thanks to the year-round offering.
"It's great to be involved in developing Finnish retail trade and new concepts that serve consumers. Kamux wants to be a trendsetter in car sales, and the used car showroom at Ideapark Shopping Centre is part of a new kind of customer service," Country Director Mäkinen concludes.
The construction of the northern extension of Ideapark Lempäälä will begin on 15 September 2017. The new, €20 million shopping wing will open in mid-June 2018.
