KappAhl in collaboration for sustainability

To develop the work within sustainability, KappAhl cooperates with the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg. One of the school's PhD students will in her research follow the development of KappAhl's sustainability report.

PhD student Marina Grahovar’s research seeks to answer the question how a company's internal activities, assessment of and relationships with stakeholders interact and shape the content of the sustainability report. The ambition is that companies that report on sustainability can use the study to find inspiration and discuss problems and opportunities throughout the process of sustainability reporting.

KappAhl has for a long time been at the forefront with their sustainability work. Now we will take this to the next level and Marina’s expertise and the latest research in the field will contribute to our development, says KappAhl’s environmental manager Elenor Loyd who is responsible for KappAhl’s sustainability report.

KappAhl and the University of Gothenburg have for many years cooperated through the sharing of valuable expertise in several areas.

The right development and competence are crucial for any business. Through collaboration with the university, we have added to each other knowledge and skills, says Kajsa Räftegård, Vice President HR and PR at KappAhl.

Ingela Palmgren, Head of External Relations at the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg:

I received an immediate and very positive feedback from our researchers, when I asked the question regarding cooperation with KappAhl in the area of sustainability. This is done via KappAhl’s and the environmental manager's commitment to our Executive Faculty and we are already seeing new research opportunities created.
