KAPPAHL’S LIMITED EDITION NORDIC NATURE COLLECTION PUTS RECYCLED AND SURPLUS MATERIALS TO USE

On 23 October, fashion chain KappAhl launches its new Limited Edition collection, Nordic Nature. The collection represents a fusion of new materials and technologies, in which every garment has a sustainable perspective.

“Every garment in the collection makes its own contribution to more sustainable fashion. By using more sustainable materials, smarter technologies and making use of surplus and salvaged materials, we have created an inspiring and wearable collection. The garments are also easy to style, creating a wardrobe that is made for the long haul,” says Mia Nyman, KappAhl’s design and purchasing manager for Woman.

All of the garments in the Nordic Nature collection are made of more sustainable or surplus materials which, instead of being thrown away, are put to good use as new fashion. The collection features a cream quilted jacket made of recycled polyester, and a coat made of salvaged surplus materials. Besides these, there is a pair of trousers and an A-line skirt in imitation leather made of water-borne polyurethane, which allows for an entirely solvent-free production. The collection also consists of blouses, dresses and knitwear with a focus on feminine sleeves and higher necklines – all made using more sustainable solutions.

Limited Edition Nordic Nature comes in a monochrome and natural colour palette of calming, pared-back hues, with flashes of a grandiose floral print. Balanced with soft materials, flattering shapes and a clean, womanly silhouette, these are garments that are easy to style.

The collection will be launched in limited quantities in select stores and online from 23 October 2019. Prices from 39.99 €.

This is important work, and together we can make a difference. We take responsibility for ensuring that our assortment is as sustainable as it can be. And you can do your part by caring for your garments and passing them on when the time comes. Together we can make the fashion industry more sustainable, and increase the value of clothing in contributing to a better world.
Today, 57% of the company’s products are labelled as sustainable. Our goal is for 100% of our assortment to be made of more sustainable materials by 2025. This important work to contribute to a circular fashion industry is ongoing in every aspect of our business. For further information, please visit kappahl.se/hallbarhet.
