Keliber appoints Heikki Pekkarinen as Chief Construction Officer

Heikki Pekkarinen (M.Sc.) has been appointed as Chief Construction Officer of the Keliber lithium project as of January 2, 2021. Pekkarinen will be responsible for construction organization and execution including safety and environmental issues and selection of key suppliers. Heikki Pekkarinen will report to CEO Hannu Hautala and will join Keliber's Management Team.

Heikki Pekkarinen has a strong experience in the metals and mining industries and in managing large projects. Among others, he has managed 440 M€ investment project to double Outokumpu Oyj Kemi mine and Tornio ferrochrome plant production. He also worked as a head of Tornio ferrochrome plant and as a head of mill service organization with about 300 people.
