We are very satisfied to work now together with a well-respected competitor, says Mats Nilsson, CEO of Emballator Metal Group. This is totally in line with our strategy aiming to strengthen our presence and market position in Finland, the Baltic Countries and Russia.

Emballator Metal Group, part of the Swedish Herenco Group, acquires all shares in the Finnish competitor Metalpak. Emballator Metal Group, with head office in Ulricehamn Sweden, manufactures and markets tin plate packaging, mainly for the paint and chemical industry. Last year’s turnover was approximately 530 MSEK and the number of employees 200.

Metalpak is a branch colleague in Lempäälä, Finland with a 10 MEUR turnover and 37 employees. The seller is Kiilto Family Oy, parent company in a family owned Kiilto Family Group, mainly active within the chemical industry.

Finland is an important market for Emballator Metal Group, and it is of strategic importance to be present with production in the country. It also facilitates our ambitions to strengthen our market position in this area. Russia and the Baltic Countries are markets where we aim to grow, explains Mats Nilsson. Metalpak also has a considerable part of their sales within the food industry, where the Emballator Metal Group has potential for development.

Metalpak is a well-managed, capable and successful companyhaving a remarkable share of the market. Emballator Metal Group is offering Metalpak wider possibilities to grow and develop than it currently has, says CEO Erkki Solja, Kiilto Family Oy.

We are convinced that together with the competence within Metalpak we can develop our ability to serve our customers. There will be growth possibilities for both business and people, finishes Mats Nilsson.
