Huyton Gallery presents: No Place Like Home
Our sense of ‘place’ is explored with a collection of photographs, prints, sculpture and mixed media at Huyton Gallery, within Huyton Library, Civic Way, from July 14- October 11, 2014.
The ‘No Place Like Home’ exhibition aims to investigate how and why people have attachments to certain places, developing the sense of being “at home” and “being local”.
And – in a world that is increasingly global thanks to new technology – the results are wide ranging, and truly thought-provoking!
On show at this exhibition is work by artists including Arnold Borgerth, Hannah Cawthorne, Tracey Escolme, Deborah Gardner, Ian Hewitt, Sheilagh Jevons, Pui Lee, Amanda Oliphant, Jane Walker, Joanne Walker, Phil Wilkinson and Sean Williams.
Entry to the exhibition is free.
Huyton Gallery is open Monday and Friday 9am to 5pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9am to 6pm, and Saturday 10am to 1pm.
More information about the exhibition is available on the council’s website at http://www.knowsley.gov.uk/things-to-do/museums-and-galleries.aspx, or by calling Tina Ball on 0151 443 5617, or emailing galleries@knowsley.gov.uk.
