Knowsley Business Event Hailed a Success

Hundreds of business people attended the Grow Your Business breakfast event on Thursday 26 June.

The event, held in the grounds of Knowsley Hall was organised by Knowsley Council as part of the International Festival for Business and was attended by business leaders and business support agencies from across Liverpool City Region and beyond.

The conference showcased the range and quality of support available to growing businesses and allowed delegates to hear first hand just how other organisations had achieved success and the support they had accessed along the way.

Dale Milburn, Knowsley’s Director of Business, Investment and Sustainability said: “This was a unique event with a focus on helping those businesses that want to grow and develop. There is an abundance of expert advice and support available across Knowsley and the city region, so this event was a great way to bring all of those resources together in the one place.”

“It was great to see organisations taking the opportunity to join in the marketplace and the workshops, to network with each other and the plethora of support agencies in attendance. I would like to thank all the businesses and the partners who attended for making the event such a success.”

“I would also encourage any businesses that are looking to grow, to speak to their relevant local authority or chamber and I would urge them to make the most of the International Festival for Business.”

For Peter Stafford, of Staffords Ltd, this was the first event of this nature he has attended. He said; “I wanted to find out more about funding and growth opportunities. I was able to speak to a number of people about this, so the event was very worthwhile for me.”

Colin Evans from LK Valves and Controls Ltd, explained: “I was looking for advice on who to contact for help if required. I have come away with a lot of useful information.”

Hannah Sutton of H Jenkinson & Co Ltd said “It was a fabulous event. There were so many business attendees that we were able to get plenty of information and leads. This was just what we wanted. Thanks to all involved.”
