KONE to equip phase 1 of metro line 10 in Zhengzhou, China

KONE Corporation, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, has won an order to supply a suite of People Flow® solutions, including 153 escalators, 34 elevators and four autowalks, for the first phase of Metro 10 line in Zhengzhou, China.
The first phase of the Zhangzhou line starts from Zhengzhou West Railway Station and extends 21.6km to Zhengzhou Railway Station. The full line will have a total length of 42km consisting of 22 stations. Residing in the Henan Province, this Metro line will have of great significance to the city expansion, further optimizing the layout of urban functional spaces and improving the rail transit network of Zhengzhou's new western city.
KONE's delivery includes 7 KONE MiniSpace™ elevators, 27 KONE MonoSpace® elevators, 153 KONE TransitMaster™ escalators and four KONE TransitMaster™ horizontal autowalks. In addition, the contract includes two years of standard maintenance.

The metro line is being developed and contracted by Zhengzhou Metro Group Co. Ltd. The leading architects are Electrification Design Institute Branch of China Railway Sixth Survey and Design Institute Group Co. Ltd.
The project is expected to be fully completed in late 2022.
KONE booked the order in the fourth quarter of 2021.
