STATUTORY NEGOTIATIONS COMPLETED WITHIN KONECRANES SERVICE OY’S UNIT FOR MACHINE TOOL SERVICE IN FINLAND

The statutory negotiations have now ended at Konecranes Service Oy’s unit for Machine Tool Service (MTS) in Finland. Konecranes Service Oy will temporarily lay off personnel in its MTS units in Kotka, Pori, Rauma and Turku in Finland. The extent of the temporary layoffs will depend on the specified machine tool service units’ workloads. The temporary layoffs will affect approximately 40 employees and the duration of the layoffs are less than 90 days.

Konecranes Service Oy’s MTS unit started statutory negotiations on September 26, 2011. The aim is to adjust the specified machine tool service units’ capacity to the current weakened demand for services within MTS customers in the earlier mentioned places in Finland.

Konecranes Service Oy, offering service solutions for cranes, port equipment and machine tools, has approximately 600 employees in Finland.
