WELCOME TO A PRESENTATION OF TOMORROW’S REMOTE TOWER SERVICES
On 25 August, Avinor and Kongsberg Gruppen announced the world’s biggest investment in remote towers. Kongsberg Gruppen and Indra Navia will collaborate on delivering a complete solution for remote towers, thereby making it possible to control a number of airports from one command centre. Avinor has previously decided to invest in a remote towers for up to 15 airports, with its command centre localised in Bodø. The contract entered between Avinor, Kongsberg Gruppen and Indra Navia, valued at NOK 400 million, is the most comprehensive investment in remote towers to date within international aviation. This technology is expected to have considerable international potential.
