The Future of Ukraine
The Royal Swedish Academy of War Sciences and the Swedish Defence University are honoured to invite you to Winter Symposium 2023: The Future of Ukraine, Friday 24 February 2023, 09.00 – 12.00 in auditorium Sverigesalen at the Swedish Defence University, Drottning Kristinas väg 37, Stockholm.
The Royal Swedish Academy of War Sciences’ yearly Winter Symposium for 2023 is dedicated to the year-long war against Ukraine and the important issues of holding Russia accountable for its atrocities against Ukraine and its people, and the rebuilding Ukraine.
We are very honoured to welcome Ukraine’s Ambassador to Sweden, Mr Andrii Plakhotniuk as our Guest of Honour at the symposium. We are also very honoured to present two distinguished panels with keynote speakers Dr Anton Korynevych, Ambassador-at-large, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Dr Torbjörn Becker, Director of Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics.

Krigsvetenskapsakademien, som fyller 227 år i år, är en Akademi i tiden med uppdraget att främja vetenskap av betydelse för Sveriges säkerhet. Genom att skapa, samla och sprida kunskap bidrar och inspirerar Akademiens ledamöter till en ökad kunskap och debatt om utvecklingen av Sveriges försvars- och säkerhetspolitik. Sverige behöver en bred kunskap hos medborgare, hos beslutsfattare i företag och organisationer, hos politiker i kommuner och regioner och hos lagstiftare i regering och riksdag om vårt säkerhetspolitiska läge och om det civila och militära försvarets förmåga, resurser och ekonomi. Det ligger i Akademiens uppdrag att bidra till en sådan kunskapsbredd.
