Kungsleden climbs in international sustainability ranking
Kungsleden reported an improved result in GRESB (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark), an international sustainability ranking for property owners and project developers. In parallel, Kungsleden received a Silver Award in EPRA’s evaluation of property companies’ sustainability reporting.
Both achievements demonstrate that Kungsleden’s sustainability work is yielding results and is aligned with the target of becoming climate positive in property management activities by 2025, and throughout the value chain by 2035.
“We are pleased that our goal-oriented and ambitious work with sustainability has yielded results, and we will be continuously making improvements to reach our ambitious targets. Transparency, clarity and high sustainability performance in our properties are key issues for us,” says Erik Florman, Head of Sustainability, Kungsleden.
GRESB is the leading global sustainability ranking for property companies. For the 2020 financial year, Kungsleden improved its results in the property portfolio category to 85 out of 100, compared to 77 points in 2019. In the project development category, Kungsleden improved to 89 from a previous score of 78.
EPRA Sustainability Best Practices Recommendations (sBPR) evaluates sustainability reports based on their content, quality and available sustainability statistics. Kungsleden received a Silver Award for the 2020 financial year, compared to a Bronze Award for 2019.
