Kungsleden closes the deal, divesting an undeveloped part of the Stiernhielm 7 property in central Mölndal to JM for SEK 96 million.

Together with JM, Kungsleden has pursued a zoning plan process to transform an undeveloped part of the Stiernhielm 7 property in Mölndal into residential building rights. The divested land will allow for the development of 9,400 sq.m. of housing. The transaction led to a positive earnings impact of SEK 90 million in the second quarter this year when the zoning plan came into force. Kungsleden will retain ownership of the developed part of the property that is mainly let to the Västra Götaland Regional Council.

“We are very pleased to continue to realise the value of the significant residential development potential that we have worked for many years to produce at Kungsleden. We currently have just over 275,000 sq.m. of residential building rights and just over 600,000 sq.m. of commercial building rights under development in our prioritised markets of Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö and Västerås,” says Ylva Sarby Westman, Deputy CEO and CFO of Kungsleden.
