Kungsleden leases to Praktikertjänst for new primary health centre in Västerås

Kungsleden is leasing 1,448 sq.m. across one and a half floors of the the Isolatorn 3 property, just outside the centre of Västerås. Praktikertjänst will open the Tegnér primary health centre here and occupancy is scheduled for the beginning of 2022. The lease has a duration of eight years.

“It is satisfying that we can strengthen the area through something as important as a primary health centre, both for the residents and companies. In conjunction with the modernisation of the area, the service offering also needs to being broadened, and we are therefore reviewing other possibilities for expanded service,” says Mats Eriksson, Regional Manager Mälardalen, at Kungsleden.

The area around Isolatorn 3 was newly developed a few years ago and largely comprises residential housing. Kungsleden recently sold the nearby Isolatorn 12 property, which is also being planned as apartment blocks. Praktikertjänst currently operates Odensvi Vårdcentral near Odensviplatsen and by spring of 2022, the business will take over the premises in Isolatorn 3.

“For over 20 years, we have offered good and close care to residents in the area, but we have grown out of our premises. Therefore, it feels extra good to welcome both new and old patients to a larger clinic in Tegnérlunden, says Réka Velle, Head of Operations at Praktikertjänst.

In conjunction with the adaptation of the premises, Kungsleden will also add a lift, remodel the stairwell, construct a new entrance and make the outdoor environment more accessible for cars and bikes.
