Tina Lindh, a property developer at Kungsleden AB (publ) is this year’s winner of the Swedish Green Building Council (SGBC) Award 2018. She received the award for ”A positive contribution to sustainable building and property development”, during a ceremony in Stockholm’s City Hall. STUDIO (Tyfonen 1) in Malmö also received an award for The LEED Building of the Year.

Swedish Green Building Council´s motivation for Tina’s award:

”In a world where we spend more and more of our time inside of buildings, it is all the more important that we feel good when we are there. With her commitment to physical and mental health, this year’s winner has been one of the driving forces for creating a feeling of well-being in buildings. She was one of the people behind the first registered WELL certification in Sweden and has since been working to increase knowledge of well-being, sustainability and gender equality. Her commitment has led to an increasing numbers of other market players looking into these important issues and starting to build properties with the idea of well-being in mind.

”Tina’s focus on human well-being shines through all her projects, now also in her latest project Eden in Hyllie. Tina takes well-being to another level with the Eden concept

- Symbiotic building, where the building and human beings interact in symbiosis for an optimal purpose”, says Frida Stannow Lind, Head of Property Development at Kungsleden.

”Kungsleden acquired the STUDIO concept property in March, and we are delighted that STUDIO won the award for the LEED Building of the Year with the motivation: The STUDIO project combines business with cultural life and is an around the clock meeting place. This is an excellent example of sustainability work through collaboration between the property owner and the entrepreneur who promotes the LEED brand. In addition, the project has a thoroughly elaborate design and a pleasant indoor environment that is a positive feature in the urban environment”, says Biljana Pehrsson, CEO at Kungsleden.

The award for this year’s LEED building went to Hans Wallström, Sustainability Manager at Skanska CDN who developed the property.
