Be Part of Yasi’s History through the Music Artist’s Kickstarter Campaign
The indie music artist is raising funds in order to produce her next music video for the single, “Like a Star.”
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Yasi, an indie-pop Canadian music artist, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for her next music video and to invite fans to be part of her history. As an indie music artist, she does not have a record deal or label backing, so she is relying on support from fans in order to create a quality video. The crowdfunding campaign has less than one week remaining, with an end date of June 12, 2014 at 11:34 AM PD. The project will only be funded if the goal of $13,500 is reached.
All contributions will go toward the making of the music video for “Like a Star.” A chart showing the intended distribution of funds is available on the Kickstarter campaign page. It will cover supply, printing, and shipping costs for donor rewards; pre-production involving the mastering of the song, storyboarding, graphic design, and administrative costs; production fees including producer and director fees, camera equipment, wardrobe, city permits, set construction, furniture rental, and more; post-production costs, such as editing and marketing; and processing fees for Amazon and Kickstarter.
If additional funds are raised beyond the project goal, the artist plans to use better quality equipment, enhance wardrobe, and hire more production assistants. Supplementary funding will likewise help fulfill extra donor rewards. Yasi plans to mix and master the remaining songs on the album, “The Sun, Stars and All the White Lights,” and record two additional songs to include on the album if extra funds are granted.
Exciting rewards are being offered to those who support Yasi in her venture for creating her next music video. Perk packages of $5 and up include a pre-release link to the “Like a Star” music video and a digital download of the song. Other prizes include paintings and prints by various artists, limited edition T-shirts, and even a personalized “Happy Birthday” song in English, Farsi, Arabic, or French. One top supporter will get the pleasure of recording a duet with the artist. Yasi has also agreed to give a live show anywhere in the world with the top supporter, who pledges $10,000.

About Yasi:
Yasmine Aker is a Canadian singer/songwriter who resides in Los Angeles, California. Born in Dubai, UAE, she moved with her parents to Canada when she was nine years old. Her parents moved back to Dubai when she was 14, but Yasmine remained in Canada with the help of friends and family.
In Toronto, She began recording with a well-known production team and acting in various television projects, music videos, and films. Yasmine embarked on a solo singing career in 2009, creating R&B pop music with the Grammy nominated Canadian production team KUYA, who have worked with international stars such as Nelly Furtado, Akon, Genuwine, and Nelly.
