Free App Enables Independent Singers and Songwriters to Showcase Their Music
Syode Music seeks crowdfunding for its new app that helps independent artists get discovered and awards prizes for top-ranked musicians.
STARNBERG, GERMANY— Being discovered is everything for independent musicians looking to catch their big break. Syode Music’s new free app is helping showcase artists and their music on a worldwide platform. Syode is seeking crowdfunding to raise €5,000 by September 13 to help market the app and continue to upgrade its servers and other equipment as the number of users increases.
With the ability to run on all three major mobile operating systems – IOS, Android, and Windows –Syode Music’s app is easy to use and free for both the artists and the listeners. “We wanted the app to be simple to navigate and easy for artists to utilize,” said Syode CEO and Founder Joshua Sprinks. “In addition to the music file, we only ask our artists to provide their stage name, email address, song title, and a cover photo.”
Listeners using the app are able to find what they want with just four tabs on the main page that show the latest song uploads, genres, the month’s top rated songs, and the users own top rated songs. The app also includes a system of voting for users to designate their favorite songs. In order to keep the app free, Syode plans to integrate in-app advertising.
The crowdfunding campaign will help promote Syode Music’s app and will also go towards awarding the most popular artists with special recording sessions. “It is our goal to help independent musicians get discovered and get signed,” said Sprinks. “At the same time, we want to grow our company and deliver what users want.”
Supporters of the crowdfunding campaign will receive perks like a personalized version of the app for €25, a Skype chat with Sprinks or developer Alex Grob for €50, or a personalized account and a personalized song for €100.
