Getting around the town of Staunton

Stevie Platt is the producer/director/filmmaker/writer for GETTING AROUND THE TOWN OF STAUNTON. This is a new project that would showcase Staunton's history and the people of Staunton.

Stevie would like to explore Staunton’s history and talk with people who work for the Staunton Downtown Development Association and the Historic Staunton Foundation.

This project will take several months as we discover new things about the buildings, museums and schools. We will be getting permission from various places in writing prior to filming.  Stevie would require time to research. This would be voice for the hearing audiences and subtitled for the general public.

Stevie needs to raise between $5,000 to $10,000 the costs for travel by auto, meal, hotel, and production used for film and possible have several interviews in this town. He would be able to pay for voice interpreter, English grammar, editor production.

If we successfully raise funds, it would become possible for us to buy more equipments that would be needed for productions.

Stevie wants our project to educate people about a town in Staunton, Virginia and its' history. The town has a rich history that began from the arrival of the first Scots-Irish immigrant to the town, Civil War and many other historical times associated with Staunton, Virginia. This film may likely be in an educational format for the general public to learn about Staunton.
