New App Alerts When Airline Tickets Are Most Affordable
Crowdfunding needed for new Ticket Alert app that monitors fluctuating airline ticket prices.
CAGLIARI, ITALY—Airline ticket prices change every day, and sometimes consumers are rewarded with a great deal on tickets if they constantly monitor the airlines’ web sites. Ticket Alert is a new app that removes the guesswork. It automatically monitors the airlines’ web sites and sends an alert when a ticket to a desired destination falls below a designated price. Makers of the app have launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise $6,000 by August 9 to help cover the cost of the app development and initial marketing.
With the ability to monitor airline ticket prices for European, American, and Asian airlines, the Ticket Alert app for both Andriod and iOS will constantly find the best prices on desired locations. “Ticket Alert will revolutionize the way we process the hundreds of air travel specials,” said app’s creator. “You won’t have to pour over the airline pricelists just to catch a deal.”
App users will be able to indicate their desired locations, travel dates, and price, and the app will notify the user when it finds a matching deal. Ticket Alert will come in a lite version that performs only one search at a time, as well as a pro version that performs unlimited searches simultaneously.
Upon its launch, Ticket Alert will have the ability to monitors airlines in Europe, Asia, and America and come in a multi-lingual platform that includes English, Italian, Spanish, and Chinese. “We plan to add other languages and further expand the app after it becomes established,” said the app’s creator.
In order to cover the cost of developing the app and marketing it to its intended audience, the app’s creators have launched a crowdfunding campaign. Supporters contributing €10 to the campaign will receive name recognition in the app, and those contributing €100 will receive a free download of the pro version of the app as well as name recognition.
Supporters contributing €1,000 will enjoy a weekend package for two at the luxury Bed and Breakfast Wild Sardinia on the Italian island of Sardinia. The B&B includes amenities like Wi-Fi, laundry, and breakfast and is nestled amongst the natural beauty of caves, canyons, waterfalls, forests, and wildlife.
