The innovation of SoleMate and inventor Stephanie Payne are in the beginning stages of transforming the way in which we currently measure our feet. The idea of SoleMate as a digital foot measurement device would measure your feet in seconds. But this reality needs to get started on the right foot.
According to the shoe industry professionals, before we can even begin looking for new shoes, we need to get your foot measured. Yet in today’s fast paced world, 90% of consumers don’t really know their current shoe size.
With online ordering on the rise, as today a 9 Billion dollar industry, consumers need a more accurate way to measure their feet than a 12 inch ruler, as suggested on some websites. As of mother of two young boys, Stephanie knows the frustration of purchasing the wrong size shoes and only weeks later realizing her child’s feet hurt due to a poor fit. SoleMate would help the consumer to know what general size to order when purchasing online.
SoleMate is a digital foot measuring device that calculates your shoe size in both US and Euro sizes. The foot measuring device is combined with a common bathroom weight scale for ease of home use. It takes the guess work of ordering shoes online at home and at the retail stores.
On December 19th, 2013, The Museum of History and Industry in Seattle, in conjunction with the opening of their Bezos Center for Innovation, recently held a Napkin Sketch contest. This contest invited the public to sketch an innovative invention on a napkin and tweet a picture of it with the hashtag #innovationMOHAI. Out of the 30 entries of innovative ideas, SoleMate was selected as a runner up.
SoleMate is seeking for capital investors or individuals to participate in getting SoleMate to the marketplace with our patent pending status.
