Carl von Schantz, Head of the Lantmännen Energy Sector, presented the Lantmännen Agroetanol sustainable business model at the UN climate conference COP23 in Bonn, Germany. The seminar, Fossil free cement, steel and fuel – making business of industry transition, was organized by Fossil Free Sweden.

Carl was very content with the seminar and the following discussions together with representatives from the Swedish cement and steel industry, as well as interesting meetings with the international audience. Governmental officials from various different countries around the world showed great interest in Lantmännen Agroetanol’s biorefinery operations.

– It was the first time I participated in a UN conference, and it was amazing to be part of this truly global forum discussing the transition from fossil to renewable fuels. I was happy to see that other countries were interested in our business, says Carl von Schantz.
