The Lantmännen Annual General Meeting has today resolved on the composition of its Board of Directors. The Meeting resolved to re-elect Sonat Burman-Olsson, Jan Ehrensvärd and Per Wijkander and to elect Jan-Erik Hansson, in line with the nomination committee proposal.

During the Annual General Meeting – that was held today, 5 May, in Stockholm – it was resolved that the Lantmännen Group Board is to comprise nine directors elected at the Annual General Meeting, plus employee representatives. In line with the nomination committee’s proposal, the Meeting re-elected Sonat Burman-Olsson, Jan Ehrensvärd and Per Wijkander and elected Jan-Erik Hansson. Hans Wallemyr had declined re-election prior to the meeting. The other directors are elected until the 2022 Annual General Meeting.

Accordingly, the Lantmännen Board now comprises Chair Per Lindahl, Vice Chair Jan Ehrensvärd, directors Gunilla Aschan, Jenny Bengtsson, Sonat Burman-Olsson, Johan Bygge, Jan-Erik Hansson, Henrik Wahlberg and Per Wijkander, plus three employee representatives.

Jan-Erik Hansson is 59 years old and, together with his family and employees, runs an extensive farming business in Färila in Hälsingland. The business includes milk, meat, contracting, property and forests.

“It is a great honor to be elected to the Lantmännen Board. I hope to be able to contribute with my experience and knowledge and, together with the other board members, to create even better conditions for Lantmännen as a business and for Swedish farming,” says Jan-Erik Hansson, director.

At the statutory meeting that was held after the Annual General Meeting, Per Lindahl was re-elected chairman of the board and Jan Ehrensvärd was elected deputy chairman.

“I would like to wish Jan-Erik a warm welcome as a new director, he will contribute with his broad expertise from both his own business and previous board assignments in farming. He will be a significant addition to our board and the continued development of Lantmännen and its long-term strategy from field to fork,” says Per Lindahl, Chair of the Lantmännen Board.
