Lantmännen, Arla, Krav and LRF in an op-ed in Dagens industri: “No farmer drives the tractor unnecessarily”
Together with Arla, Krav and LRF, Lantmännen has written an opinion piece in Dagens industri titled “No farmer drives the tractor unnecessarily.” According to the authors, the EU’s new emissions trading system, ETS2, which is set to be introduced in 2027, risks significantly increasing costs for Swedish farmers without delivering corresponding climate benefits.
They argue that the focus should instead be on promoting biofuels and creating better conditions for a sustainable climate transition within agriculture. At the same time, there are growing signs that many farmers are struggling financially, which makes the issue even more pressing. The full article can read in Dagens industri (note: in Swedish).
