Lantmännen has today obtained an investment grade rating from the credit rating agency Moody's with the grade Baa3, stable outlook.

Since 2015, Lantmännen is present on the Swedish capital market through its bond program (MTN) with an issued volume that currently amounts to SEK 1,250 million of a total program of SEK 3,000 million. In addition, the company has an active short-term commercial paper program in the capital markets in SEK (Sweden) and in EUR (Finland).

"It is positive for Lantmännen to have an official credit rating that our investors can relate to. This credit rating is in line with our expectations and it confirms that we are a long-term financially stable company. The rating improves the possibilities for funding in the future, through Swedish and international capital markets, at favorable terms. At the same time we increase the availability of debt capital”, says Ulf Zenk, CFO at Lantmännen.

According to Moody's, Lantmännen's Baa3 rating reflects the strong market position of the cooperative. The company has significant market shares with diversified business areas and low correlation between the segments in terms of revenue and profitability.

"Lantmännen's new official credit rating is very positive for Lantmännen's planned issue of long-term loans on the German capital market (Schuldschein)", Ulf Zenk says.
