Lantmännen updates MTN programme to enable issuance of green bonds
Lantmännen’s board of directors has decided to update the base prospectus of the existing MTN programme to enable issuance of green bonds. Today, Finansinspektionen (the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority) has approved and registered the base prospectus.
The board of directors of Lantmännen ek för (eng. economic association) has decided to update the existing SEK 3 billion Medium Term Note programme (“MTN programme”). The update of the MTN programme is undertaken in view of the authorization by the board of directors to issue green bonds. Today, April 14 2021, Finansinspektionen (the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority) has approved and registered the base prospectus.
Lantmännen’s aim is to mobilize debt capital to promote the transition towards a low-carbon and environmentally sustainable society. The use of proceeds of any green bond issued under the MTN programme will be allocated in accordance with Lantmännen’s newly established Green Bond Framework.
