On April 15th, credit ratings agency Moody’s Ratings announced that they are raising Lantmännen’s credit score from Baa3 to Baa2.

In their press release, Moody’s Ratings emphasize that the upgraded credit rating reflects Lantmännen’s strengthened business profile and stable operating performance over the last five years, coupled with a clear deleveraging trend. Moody’s also note Lantmännen’s broad business portfolio as a strength, as well as the company’s clear strategy to create both organic and acquisition-based growth.

“The credit rating is in line with our expectations, as well as proof of Lantmännen being a long-term financially solid company. The higher rating of Baa2 further improves our opportunities to secure financing at favorable terms. Moody’s also, once again, mention our acquisition strategy – which largely is centered on creating new synergies in our business portfolio – in positive words,” says Michael Sigsfors, CFO of Lantmännen.
